Prayer for priests.
O Jesus, our great High Priest, hear my humble prayers on behalf of your priest ( name priest ).
Give him a deep faith, a bright and firm hope and a burning love which will ever increase in the course of his priestly life. In his loniliness comfort him, in his sorrows strengthen him, in his frustrations point out to him that it is through suffering that the soul is purified, and show him that he is needed by the Church, he is needed by souls and he is needed for the work of redemption.
O loving Mother Mary, Mother of priests, take to your heart your son who is close to you because of his priestly ordination, and because of the power which he has received to carry on the work of Christ in a world which needs him so much. Be his comfort, be his joy, be his strength, and especially help him to live and defend the ideals of consecrated celibacy..........Amen

# Quiz night.....a reminder that the quiz night is this Thursday...7pm for 7.30pm....EVERYONE welcome....may the best ones win!!
# Mandy Starr Night.....this has been arranged for Friday April 16th. Tickets are £6-00......PLEASE hurry because we usually sell out very quickly when Mandy has a night here.
Isn't it strange how £20 seems like such a large amount when you donate it to the Church, but such a small amount when you go shopping?
# Station Masses....Remember our Deanery Station Mass will take place on Thursday 25th March at St. Mary's in Merthyr.
# Passion Play...there are 5 tickets left for the Passion Play which will take place at St. Illtyd's in Merthyr on March 19th. The tickets are £5-00 each. Please see me a.s.a.p if anyone interested.
Isn't it strange how we believe everything that is written in newspapers & magazines but we question the words of the bible?
# Penitential Service...a reminder that this will take place this Tuesday March 9th at All Saint's at 7pm. All the priests of the deanery will be in attendance to hear confessions.
# Building repairs....another £300-00 was donated this past week towards the church repairs....thank you
Isn't it strange that we do everything we can to get front seats at a concert or games but try everything we can to sit in the back row in Church?
# Chinese auction....The Friends will be holding a Chinese auction in the near future. Please watch this space for details. If anyone would like to donate any new items suitable for the auction then please speak to us....thank you.
